How I can help you

As a freelance journalist, award winning blogger, content creator and business coach, I wear a lot of different hats!

My work is all about communications – getting stories, messages, brands and individuals out there.

How does this help? It raises awareness of what you do, builds trust and confidence in you and your business or organisation and helps you rise above the froth in a crowded market.

These are the ways we can work together.

1.

Share Your Story

First, if you have an amazing story that you can see flying into a national newspaper and you want me to help you, great.

If your story is strong enough and newsworthy, about something that hasn’t been covered before, I will be paid a fee by the newspaper so the initial service is free.

I can only offer this service if you have a story I can place in a national newspaper or women’s magazine in a paid section.

Press Release

If you have a story that you would like to feature in local or regional newspapers, my press release writing package starts at £299.

This includes:

  • Free 15 minute discovery call to check you’re ready to put out a press release and, if so, establish what the subject will be.
  • Interview of up to 60 minutes to discuss your story and decide on the best outlets for you to pitch it to.
  • Expert advice on the right imagery to include alongside your release.
  • Press release of 300-400 words which is thoroughly researched and on an industry standard template.
  • Notes to Editors with background information on your business.
  • One round of revisions
  • Honest feedback, if I don’t think your press release or story is going to work, I will tell you.

3.

Get PR Ready – Online Coaching  1-1

This programme is six hours long, with each one hour session delivered via Skype/Zoom.

It costs £750, is exclusively for pet business owners and will get you PR ready. Plus you’ll get videos of each call to refer back to.

The course covers:

  • A review and feedback of existing communications.
  • How to generate ideas for content plus review and feedback once complete.
  • How to create content so journalists trust you and your brand.
  • How to select a professional photographer and get the right imagery for you and your pet business before pitching to the media.
  • Discovering ‘your story,’ how to find story opportunities and identifying potential media ‘hooks’ from research in your industry.
  • Writing a pitch, writing a press release, how to find journalists and preparing for media interviews.

4.

Website Support

My website writing services start from £500 and include:

  • Skype/Zoom call of a minimum of 60 minutes to find out everything I need to know about you and your business – this is recorded to ensure I get every last detail!
  • Establishing key messages you want to communicate based on your ideal customer.
  • SEO friendly content for the main pages of your website, Home, About and Services including the keywords related to your business.
  • Advice on the photographs you need to on your website.
  • One round of revisions.

5.

Content/Blog Writing

My blog package is £400 per month for a minimum of three months.

This includes:

  • Two 800 – 1000 word blog posts.
  • Keyword and topic research.
  • Picture research. If you have your own images I will chose the most suitable or source royalty free images.
  • Headline, sub headings, picture captions and credits.

Power Hour

You’ll find lots of free content and resources on the website but if it’s personalised advice and guidance you’re looking for then a power hour is the package for you.

Do you have a specific challenge in your business? Are you in need advice on blogging, PR, promoting your pet business or connecting with journalists?

If there’s an issue you think I can help you with, whether it’s an award application, putting together a media plan or crisis management advice, you can book in for a chat.

My Power Hour package is £100.

This includes:

  • An hour on a Zoom call discussing your specific issue.
  • A video recording of the call for you to keep and refer back to.
